Description
Cropped/Detail from my larger work. I'm rather fond of the composition of the square here.
More explanation than usual for this:
I am so, so happy to be alive in a time when so many people are finally able to express themselves, their love and their sexuality, and be recognised for the amazing members of society which they truly are. This week all my friends have added rainbows to their profiles; I had some downtime to draw so this is my rainbow.
I used exactly the same materials and colours for both of the ladies in this drawing. Both use five colours and a sharpie, that's all. (Well, apart from the earrings, because we all need a little bit of glam! ) I wanted to try to make people who look very different, but who are made of the same stuff underneath. No matter how the world paints us, and no matter how we express ourselves, we're all beautiful and worth loving and being loved. That is something that we all share, and something which never changes.
