So yeah! Because I haven't updated this journal in a while, I thought I'd tell y'all what's going on. And because I have a fair bit of news, I'll put it in headings.

Tortall Comics Project

I've finished colouring panels for page 1 of 's entry, and tomorrow I'm working on 's. Does anyone else feel like they're fighting the clock some on this, or is it just me? Anyway, it's great fun If you're not involved and you like Tamora Pierce's amazing universes, then you should check the project out. I have it on good authority that most members are not serial killers, honest, what machete? Oh this machete? It's for sketching thumbnails. Yeah.

Exhibition

The exhibition went well! We ended up calling it "Luminescence", so thanks to the (several) people who contributed that idea! Everyone agreed that it fit the drawings very well. I ended up trying to explain what a Photoshop layer is to the princess, which was (frankly) surreal. I've also found out that one of my MPs wears football socks whenever he's in parliament. Apparently it's a comfort thing...

Me

I'm busy! I'm working on my MA course at the moment, and at the same time working on an idea to present for a PhD thesis. I've also joined a new choir, because my life just isn't hectic enough.

So yeah, that's kinda it... just wanted to update this journal before my subscription runs out. I'm getting commissioned to illustrate a book this year, so I'm going to use that money for a new subscription I think.
