Cover page image for a conference paper I'm writing on the musical performances in Edgar Allan Poe's 'The Fall of the House of Usher'. This is in ink pen, marker and biro on A5 card and took maybe 3 hours. The paper will probably take me longer... 
I wanted the house architecture to be as unsettling as possible in terms of proportion (yes, I can draw a straight line, but that wasn't the point...!) The story speaks a lot about how the house is a physical manifestation of the Ushers... nominally their physical state, but increasingly it also reflects their mental state, too.
